Georgia Tech WR Nate McCollum to enter the portal

One day after losing starting quarterback Jeff Sims, Georgia Tech wide receiver Nate McCollum has decided to enter the transfer portal. McCollum, the Yellow Jacket’s leading receiver, made the announcement via his Twitter account.

The 5-foot-11, 184-pound McCollum posted 60 receptions this season, the seventh-most in Georgia Tech single-season history and the most by a Yellow Jacket since Calvin Johnson hauled in 76 receptions in 2006. His 60 catches were also fifth most in the ACC. McCollum totaled 655 receiving yards and scored three touchdowns this year to go along with 56 yards rushing and one rushing TD.

McCollum chose Georgia Tech over offers from Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina State, Syracuse, and Tennessee among others.
