Former Michigan running back Cole Cabana committed to Minnesota after visiting the Gophers this weekend. The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect will have three years of eligibility remaining.

Cabana’s time in Ann Arbor was marred by injuries and depth chart woes, resulting in Cabana on accounting for two carries in his career as a Wolverine.

He now joins an offense that posted 1,336 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground this season.

Cabana is plenty capable, originally signing with the Wolverines as a four-star prospect in 2023. He had a legendary high school run at Dexter, amassing 79 touchdowns and 5,781 all-purpose yards.

Cabana is the Gophers second running back from the portal on Sunday, Washington graduate transfer Cameron Davis committed earlier in the day.
