Transfer Tracker: Wyoming WR piling up offers

Mark Pszonak contributed to this report.

The transfer portal never stops grinding. After enjoying a breakout 2021 season at Wyoming, wide receiver Isaiah Neyor decided to enter the portal a day after the Cowboys bowl game victory. Since then he has picked up more than a dozen offers and has several other schools close to joining the chase.

Recruiting: Neyor held offers from Stephen F. Austin and Incarnate Word before Wyoming offered in mid-December. A couple of days later he committed to the Cowboys.

At Wyoming: Neyor had a breakout 2021 season with 44 receptions for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns. He averaged 20.0 yards per reception this season and 21.7 yards during his two seasons with the Cowboys.

Potential landing spots: Since entering the portal on December 22nd, Neyor has picked up offers from Washington State, Utah, Baylor, Coastal Carolina, Texas, USC, Tennessee, Houston, Ole Miss, TCU, Virginia Tech, UTSA, Utah State and Nevada. A few other schools that are also seriously involved include Mississippi State, Florida State, Florida, Washington, SMU, North Carolina, Penn State, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M and UCLA.

Farrell’s Take: Neyor is a big receiver who is a long strider and deep threat every time he steps on the field. He was outstanding this past season and has improved as a route runner but it’s his home run ability that everyone raves about. A Texas native, keep and eye out on Texas here as they just entered the race but Baylor and others are also in there. More offers are coming.

IMPACT METER

The Transfer Portal continues to change the way college football programs recruit and manage their rosters so we here at Rivals.com continue to evolve our coverage. Each time a player of note enters the portal, we will examine their potential impact on the college football landscape and assign an impact rating, both when they enter the portal and when they choose a destination. The scale is from 1-10 and the description below explains the scoring scale.

1.1-4.0 — Not a big impact expected, likely a non-starter and down the bench depth player.

4.1- 6.0 — A solid impact can be expected in the right scenario and has the potential to battle for a starting job.

6.1-9.0. — A high impact player who won’t change a program but will certainly be a very good contributor and starter.

9.1- 9.9 — A very high impact player who should start the moment he steps on the field and will change the outlook of a program immediately.

10 — A franchise transfer who has a chance to be an All American and one of the elite players in college football.
