Alabama defensive tackle Jehiem Oatis is taking his redshirt and will transfer after the season. Oatis has played for Alabama for three season and has two of years of eligibility left.

Oatis' decision was first reported by ESPN.

Oatis signed with Alabama in the 2022 class, choosing the Tide over Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Oatis has only played 68 snaps this season and has generated three quarterback pressures, one batted pass, and two tackles according to PFF.

Throughout his two and a half years in Tuscaloosa, Oatis has played a total of 671 snaps with 23 quarterback pressures, three sacks, five batted passes, and a total of 35 tackles per PFF.
