Arizona State redshirt junior tight end Jalin Conyers has entered the transfer portal as a graduate transfer. Conyers played his freshman season in 2020 with Oklahoma and then transferred to Arizona State, where he has been ever since. He did not play in any games for Oklahoma, redshirting his true freshman year.

Out of high school, Conyers was a 4-star recruit with a 5.8 Rivals rating out of Gruver High School in Gruver, Texas. Of the group of programs who offered him in addition to Oklahoma, he recorded visits to Texas Tech, Texas, Oklahoma State, Ohio State, LSU, Georgia, and Baylor. So, maybe one of those programs comes calling once more.

During his time with Arizona State, Conyers has blossomed into a really solid tight end. At 6’4”, 270 pounds, he has good hands and is very capable in the receiving game. For his career, Conyers has played in 27 games, totaling 74 receptions for 846 yards and six touchdowns for an 11.4 yards per reception average.

Conyers’ best season was 2022 in which he had 38 receptions for 422 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games played. This past season in 2023, he had 30 receptions for 362 yards in 11 games played.

Given the list of schools he visited during his high school recruiting process combined with his production at Arizona State, it’ll be interesting to see where Conyers ends up. He should be a solid addition to whatever tight end room he ends up at.
