Alabama starting offensive tackle Elijah Pritchett intends to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Pritchett played three seasons for the Crimson Tide. He began his career in Tuscaloosa under head coach Nick Saban and offensive line coach Eric Wolford in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, he played under head coach Kalen DeBoer and offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining.

The 6-foot-6, 327-pound Pritchett played in all 13 games for Alabama in 2024, and made 12 starts. The majority of his starts came at right tackle, but he also made one start at left tackle against Western Kentucky on Aug. 31.

According to Pro Football Focus, Pritchett played 619 offensive snaps (555 at right tackle and 64 at left tackle) and recorded an overall grade of 46.9. He also received a pass-blocking grade of 44.8 and a run-blocking grade of 51.8. Pritchett allowed five sacks and was called for four penalties, per PFF. He also played 12 snaps on special teams.

Pritchett appeared in all 14 games for the Crimson Tide in 2023. As a true freshman in 2022, he appeared in two games and redshirted.

As a prospect out of Carver High School in Georgia in the class of 2022, Pritchett was rated as a five-star offensive tackle. He was one of the top recruits in the cycle, ranking as the No. 1 player at his position, the No. 3 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 22 overall prospect nationally.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on Dec. 9, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16 as well.
