Auburn is losing another linebacker to the NCAA transfer portal. Wednesday, Powell Gordon became the third Tigers linebacker to enter his name in the database this spring, joining fellow backups Desmond Tisdol and Kameron Brown.

In total, Gordon is the fifth Auburn player to hit the portal this spring as defensive end Jeffrey M’ba and wide receiver Tar’varish Dawson entered their names when the latest window opened on April 15.

Gordon, a redshirt freshman, did not see action during his first season on The Plains last year. The Auburn, Alabama native joined his hometown Tigers as a three-star recruit in last year’s class. He will have four years of eligibility remaining at his next school.
