Brian Kelly continued his transfer portal hot streak Monday night, securing a commitment from Oklahoma transfer receiver Nic Anderson. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound sophomore will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Anderson sat out this season nursing a quad injury but made enough noise from day one in Norman to allow his reputation to precede him. He set a Sooners freshman record with 38 receptions for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Anderson’s addition gives Kelly three receivers for next season via the transfer portal. Kentucky transfer Barion Brown and Florida State's Destyn Hill have already committed to LSU.
The trio could again have the Tigers challenging to be the most potent aerial threat in the SEC. This season they finished second to Ole Miss, amassing 3,784 passing yards and 26 touchdowns.
