On Monday, USC defensive lineman Jamar Sekona entered the transfer portal. Sekona was not part of the program the whole season. It is assumed that he was just finishing up classes so as to enter the portal as a graduate transfer.

During his time at USC, Sekona played in 10 games, totaling 11 tackles and 1.0 tackles for loss. That one tackle for loss was recorded as a sack.

Sekona was rated a 3-star recruit by Rivals with a 5.7 rating in the 2020 class. He played at Marin Catholic in Kentfield, CA with offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Cal, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, UCLA, and Utah in addition to USC.

It’ll be interesting to see where Sekona ends up and whether or not he’ll make an impact at his next stop.
