Calhoun verbally committed to both West Virginia and Cincinnati, signed with Michigan — where he played in two games on the national championship squad — and then transferred to Utah.
Calhoun started against Oklahoma State and came off the bench in 10 other games. Calhoun and sophomore cornerback Elijah Davis split the playing time at Utah.
Calhoun finished with 21 tackles, one tackle for loss, nine passes defended and one interception against Utah State.
The 6-foot-1, 177-pounder was a Rivals.com four-star prospect coming out of Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods High in the class of 2022. He was No. 8 overall in Ohio and the No. 33 cornerback nationally.
Michigan, Cincinnati, Kentucky, West Virginia, Kentucky, Duke, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt are some of the colleges that offered him out of high school.
Calhoun finished with 14 career interceptions and helped Winton Woods win the 2021 state title. He had 52 tackles, 15 passes broken up and five interceptions his senior year.
