Alabama offensive tackle Miles McVay is headed for the transfer portal per multiple reports on Sunday afternoon. The 6-foot-6, 340-pound prospect will have three years of eligibility left after redshirting as a freshman.
In his role as a backup, McVay helped to anchor an offensive line that led Alabama to amass 2,192 rushing yards this season, good enough for 182.7 a game. He and the front five also gave Jalen Milroe and Co. the time to throw for 2,881 yards (240.1 a game) and 16 touchdowns this season.
McVay committed to the Crimson Tide in August of 2022 Texas A&M, Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon and Jackson State. He was a four-star prospect in 2023 and checked in at No. 133 overall in the class.
As it stands, McVay is the sixth Alabama player to enter the transfer portal this offseason.
