Dabo Swinney scored a major pickup on Monday when Southeast Missouri State receiver Tristan Smith committed to Clemson following his visit to South Carolina.
Smith will have one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-5 athlete thrived this season, posting 934 receiving yards on 76 receptions and scoring six touchdowns for the Redhawks.
Prior to suiting up at Southeast Missouri State, Smith played two seasons at Hutchison Community College.
It was a timely pickup for Swinney who has lost two receivers thus far this cycle to the transfer portal.
His combination of speed and experience should make him an immediate impact player for the Tigers next season.
