A day after taking his visit to Clemson, former Alabama linebacker Jeremiah Alexander committed to the Tigers. The 6-foot-2, 249-pounder will have two years of eligibility remaining.

He nearly committed to the Tigers out of high school as a five-star prospect who checked in at No. 6 overall in the Top 100 in 2022 before ultimately choosing Alabama.

In two seasons following a redshirt year with the Crimson Tide, Alexander played multiple linebacker positions and saw action in 24 games, posting eight tackles.

His versatility and potential should make him an instant impact player in Dabo Swinney’s system, which ranked fourth overall in the ACC this past season, allowing opponents just 23.4 points a game. The Tigers spotted opponents 374.1 yards of total offense and racked up 35 sacks, 14 forced fumbles and 16 interceptions.

Alexander is the Tigers third portal commit thus far this cycle, joining Southeast Missouri State wide receiver Tristan Smith and Purdue defensive end Will Heldt.
