According to reports, Arizona State is adding a wide receiver to its 2025 roster, as Clemson transfer Noble Johnson committed to the Sun Devils on Sunday.
Johnson spent two seasons playing for head coach Dabo Swinney and the Tigers in 2023 and 2024.
He has three years of eligibility left and will now head to Tempe to play for head coach Kenny Dillingham, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Marcus Arroyo, wide receivers coach Hines Ward and the rest of the Arizona State staff.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Johnson played in nine games in 2024 and recorded three receptions for 16 yards. According to Pro Football Focus, he saw action on 49 offensive snaps and received an offensive grade of 59.7. He also played 35 snaps on special teams.
As a true freshman in 2023, Johnson appeared in four games and played a total of 13 offensive snaps, which allowed him to redshirt. He did not record a statistic.
He was a four-star wide receiver prospect out of Rockwall High School in Texas in the class of 2023. Johnson was a Rivals250 prospect, checking in at No. 238 nationally. He also ranked as the No. 38 player in the state of Texas and No. 35 wide receiver in the cycle.
Johnson had more than 30 scholarship offers coming out of high school. He committed to Clemson in June of 2022 and signed with the Tigers in December of that year.
