Daniel Richardson, a quarterback out of Florida Atlantic, entered the transfer portal on December 5th: ‘After careful consideration, I have decided to pursue new challenges and opportunities and will be entering the transfer portal for my final year”. Richardson will going into his sixth season of college football.

Richardson spent one season at FAU in 2023, playing in 11 contests. In that time, Richardson threw for 2,001 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, completing 65% of his passes.

Prior to his short tenure with the Owls, Richardson played at Central Michigan between 2019 and 2022. In his final season with the Chippewas, Richardson played in 12 games and started 10, throwing for 1,988 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. In 2021, Richardson played in all 13 games, starting nine contests. He threw for 2,633 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

In his career, Richardson has started 32 games, playing in 40 contests, totaling 7,392 passing yards, 56 passing touchdowns, and 23 interceptions. Richardson won the 2021 Sun Bowl.
