Richardson joins the Rattlers and the city of Tallahassee from Florida Atlantic, just six hours south in Boca Raton. This past season, Richardson played in 11 games for the Owls, starting nine contests. He was able to put up 2,001 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He was a Manning Award Quarterback of the Week for his performance against USF, throwing for 382 yards and three touchdowns.

Richardson played his best football before joining the Owls, though: between 2019 and 2022, Richardson played for Central Michigan, where he’d played in 32 games and started 23, including 19 between his final two seasons. As a Chippewa, he threw for 5,336 yards, 43 touchdowns, and just 13 interceptions, having connected 434 of his 736 passes (59%).

Florida A&M now gets their replacement with the departure of Jeremy Moussa, who has run dry on his eligibility and will now look to the professional ranks. The Rattlers were able to finish the season with a 12-1 record, capturing a victory over Howard in the Celebration Bowl. Their offense finished at 43rd in the nation, including a 33rd ranked passing attack.

This will be Richardson's final season of eligibility.
