Florida junior defensive end Jack Pyburn had his breakout season and now plans to enter the transfer portal.
The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Plyburn amassed 20 tackles in 17 games his first two years, but had 60 tackles (20 solo), four tackles for loss, one sack and one interception against Georgia. He tallied eight tackles apiece against Kentucky on Oct. 19 and vs. LSU on Nov. 16.
Rivals.com ranked him as a four-star prospect coming out of Jacksonville (Fla.) Bolles High, and he was No. 55 overall in Florida and No. 35 nationally at strongside defensive end.
Pyburn picked Florida over Florida State, Auburn and Miami, among others. He had 24 scholarship offers and originally picked Minnesota on June 20, 2021, before decommitting Jan. 6, 2022.
Pyburn finished his senior season with 109 tackles, 32.0 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.
