Florida long snapper Marco Ortiz entered the transfer portal Wednesday as a graduate transfer. He earned his bachelor's degree in Health Education and Behavior in the spring.
Ortiz earned the starting long snapping job last season during camp, played in all 13-games and was placed on scholarship midway through the season. He opened this season as the starter, appeared in the Gators first game against Utah and recorded one tackle.
That is the only game the fifth-year senior appeared in this season.
With his degree in hand, Ortiz has the option to transfer to another program or go pro.
