There’s a new top back on the market. Florida running back Trevor Etienne became the latest high-profile name to enter the NCAA transfer portal on Thursday. The sophomore will have two years of eligibility at his next school.

"I'm forever grateful for the opportunity to put on the Orange and Blue every Saturday, going to war with my teammates who would become my brothers for life. You've undoubtedly made me a better man both on and off the field. My time as a gator was an invaluable experience and one that I will cherish for years to come."
Etienne started one game over 11 appearances this season, averaging 5.75 yards per carry while recording 753 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns on the ground. Etienne signed with Florida as the No. 2 all-purpose back and No. 98 overall player in the 2022 class. The Jennings, Louisiana native chose the Gators over Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and LSU.
