Three days after announcing he was entering the transfer portal, former Notre Dame safety Kennedy Urlacher has found his new home at USC. The 5-foot-11, 197-pounder will have three years of eligibility remaining in Los Angeles.
Urlacher entered with a do not contact tag, so his path to the Trojans seemed to be a forgone conclusion.
Urlacher is the son of NFL Hall of Fame linebacker Brian Urlacher.
The heir apparent appeared in 14 games for the Fighting Irish in 2024, totaling 12 tackles, one for loss, one pass defended and one fumble recovery.
Urlacher was a four-star prospect out of Chandler (Ariz.) in 2024, finishing with his career with 127 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, a touchdown and a blocked field goal.
Now, Urlacher joins a defensive secondary that picked off 12 passes in 2024.
