Former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold is transferring to Auburn. The former five-star will have two years of eligibility remaining.
As expected, Auburn has been actively recruiting multiple quarterbacks during this transfer window after going back and forth between Payton Thorne and Hank Brown this past season. Arnold is the first of at least two quarterback transfers Auburn will take during this transfer window.
Arnold had a difficult season as the Oklahoma starter. He began the season as the unquestioned starter for new offensive coordinator Seth Littrell. Arnold had a few shaky performances to start the year and struggled in the first half of their fourth game of the season against Tennessee. He was replaced at halftime in that game and didn't see the field again until he relieved Michael Hawkins Jr. during the eighth game of the season against South Carolina. Littrell was fired after the South Carolina game by head coach Brent Venables and Arnold started for the rest of the season. The highlight of his sophomore campaign came in a massive upset win over Alabama at home.
