Sam Pittman added major firepower to his defensive secondary, landing a big commitment from former Stanford cornerback Julian Neal. The 6-foot, 200-oounder will have one year of eligibility remaining in Fayetteville.
It’s a big score for Pittman and Co. who beat at a who’s who of suitors like Auburn, Florida State, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Kansas State, Missouri and USC, among others.
Neal spent the 2024 season at Fresno State and transferred to Stanford in December but decided to reenter the transfer portal last week.
Neal was a defensive pest for the Bulldogs last season, compiling 35 tackles, five of which were for loss, two interceptions and one sack.
Now, Neal joins a group of athletes who sat in the middle of the SEC in interceptions, ripping off 10 in 2024.
