Former Rivals.com top 100 recruit Rodrick Pleasant of Oregon has entered the transfer portal.
The Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra High product was ranked No. 95 overall nationally, No. 7 in Oregon and No. 13 at cornerback in the class of 2023. Pleasant picked Oregon over USC on Signing Day. He also considered California, UCLA, Boston College and Penn State, among his 32 scholarship offers.
The speedster helped Serra win the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship and CIF 1-A state title his junior year. He also clocked 10.14 seconds in the 100-meter dash, which broke the California state record. He also had a career-best time of 20.40, which won the state title.
The high school accolades didn’t add up on the field his first two years. The 5-foot-9, 180-pounder had four tackles and played 73 snaps for the Ducks.
