Just two days after hopping back into the transfer portal following his commitment to North Carolina roughly four months ago, former Purdue quarterback Ryan Browne has decided to rejoin the Boilermakers. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder will have three years of eligibility in West Lafayette.
Browne was one of the first prospects to commit to the Tar Heels after they hired legendary New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.
In his two seasons at Purdue the first go-round, Browne saw time in just nine games, eight of which came in 2024 when he posted 532 passing yards while going 43 of 76 with four touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 155 yards.
Browne’s recommitment to Barry Odom comes after his visit back home at Purdue on Thursday.
Browne will duke-it-out with Malachi Singleton, Bennett Meredith, EJ Colson and Evans Chuba to see who starts off under center.
