Sophomore tight end Jack Endries will be the new security blanket for Texas quarterback Arch Manning.
Endries emerged as one of the top ends in the country for California, catching 56 passes for 623 yards and two touchdowns last fall. He entered the transfer portal Wednesday, and immediately became a hot commodity.
The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder had an overall grade of 77.0 from Pro Football Focus, which included 48.2 as a run blocker and 85.4 in the passing game.
Endries topped 100 yards in a pair of games last year. He had eight catches for 119 yards and a touchdown in the 17-15 loss at Pittsburgh on Oct. 12. Endries snagged nine passes for 101 yards in a 24-23 loss vs. NC State on Oct. 19.

Endries caught 49 passes for 579 yard and nine touchdowns his senior year of high school.
