Georgia is losing another five-star player to the transfer portal. Tuesday evening redshirt freshman defensive back Julian Humphrey became the latest Bulldogs player to hit the portal. The Webster, Texas native will have three years of eligibility at his next school.
Humphrey signed with the Bulldogs as the No. 26 overall player and No. 5 cornerback in the 2022 class. He originally committed to Florida during the summer of 2021 but later chose Georgia over LSU and Texas A&M that November.
Humphrey appeared in nine games this season, recording 11 tackles and a pass breakup. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed four receptions on eight balls thrown his way, holding opponents to a 72.9 NFL passer rating.
Georgia has already lost two freshman defensive backs to the transfer portal this cycle in A.J. Harris and sophomore Nyland Green. Harris is still uncommitted, while Green is headed to Purdue.
