Georgia is set to lose one of its most promising receivers to the transfer portal. According to reports, redshirt freshman Tyler Williams submitted the paperwork necessary to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Williams redshirted during his first season last year, appearing in three games while recording one reception for 4 yards. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Lakeland, Florida native has four years of eligibility remaining.

Williams signed with the Bulldogs as the No. 132 overall player and No. 20 wide receiver in the 2023 class. He is expected to draw plenty of interest once he enters the transfer portal.

Williams’ pending transfer is also notable considering Georgia is already its leading pass catcher in tight end Brock Bowers as well as another projected early-round pick in receiver Ladd McConkey.
