Cryer upped his scoring average for a third-straight season, finishing third on the Bears and tenth in the conference in scoring (15.0) to go along with 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. Cryer, an All-Big 12 third team member, also led the league in three-point field goal percentage (.415), and tied for the lead in three-point field goals per game (2.6).

The Cougars recruited Cryer out of high school and, undoubtedly, Kelvin Sampson’s success with guards like Marcus Sasser, Jamal Shead and Quentin Grimes played a role in Cryer’s decision to transfer to Houston which is not far from his home in Katy, TX.
