In 2023, McCloud put together the best season of his career, tossing 3,400 yards, 32 passing touchdowns, nine interceptions, 311 rushing yards, and eight rushing touchdowns. This was good enough to earn Sun Belt Player of the Year honors, having led the Dukes to an 11-1 record and a #18 ranking in the AP Top 25. McCloud also earned First Team All-Sun Belt recognition.

Between 2021 and 2022, McCloud played in three games with two starts at Arizona. In his time there, he completed 48 of his 73 passes for 481 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions, while adding 75 yards on the ground.

As a USF Bull in 2018 and 2020, McCloud played in 20 games, starting 17 contests. There, he was able to put together a 58.4% completion rate (244-of-418) for 2,770 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions, attached to 357 yards and five scores on the ground.

Now, going into his seventh year of college football, McCloud will look to replicate his 2023 campaign at a new home.
