In the midst of fall camp, LSU has lost a defensive back to the transfer portal. Redshirt sophomore cornerback Jordan Toles entered the portal Thursday, Rivals has learned.

Toles, a former four-star recruit, appeared in 14 games across his first two seasons in Baton Rouge. He totaled 16 tackles during that span.

Toles, ranked the No. 63 overall prospect in the class of 2020, chose LSU over a long list of other suitors that included Alabama, Penn State and Michigan. The Baltimore native appeared in eight of LSU's 10 games in 2020, then played in six of the team's first seven games of last season before seeing his playing time fade.

Toles is the fourth defensive back from LSU to enter the transfer portal since the end of last season. Cornerback Eli Ricks transferred to Alabama, while Dwight McGlothern also stayed in the SEC, transferring to Arkansas. Pig Cage, who came to LSU as a transfer from Nicholls State, left for Texas-San Antonio.

LSU, which has leaned heavily on the transfer portal since Brian Kelly was hired as head coach, also added four cornerbacks from the transfer portal during the offseason in Sevyn Banks (Ohio State), Jarrick Bernard-Converse (Oklahoma State), Mekhi Garner (Louisiana-Lafayette) and Quad Wilson (McNeese).
