Tight end Bauer Sharp will be finishing his college career at LSU.

The 6-foot-4, 247-pound Sharp signed with Southeastern Louisiana out of Dothan (Ala.) High with the dream of being a quarterback in 2021. He redshirted his freshman year, and then made the switch to tight end during spring practice.

Sharp played in 13 games in 2022, making two starts, and caught 11 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown, plus rushed 10 times for 83 yards.

He blossomed as a receiver in 2023 for Southeastern Louisiana, and caught 29 passes for 288 yards and three scores, plus 25 carries for 133 yards and five touchdowns. Sharp entered the transfer portal for the first time and landed at Oklahoma.

The Sooners didn’t have stability at quarterback, and he caught 42 passes for 324 yards and two scores this fall. He had a season-high five catches against both Temple and Missouri this season.

Sharp elected to enter the transfer portal a second time, and quickly settled on LSU. The Tigers lost junior tight end Mason Taylor to the NFL Draft. He had 55 catches for 546 yards and two scores.
