“I want to thank Tiger Nation for making this special place feel like home since my arrival,” Ryan wrote in a post on social media. ‘’To my brothers/teammates over the past three seasons, we have unbreakable bonds that will last forever.”

This isn’t Ryan’s first stay in the portal, he jumped in this time last year, but ultimately decided to stick around for the Tigers.

The redshirt junior was an intricate part of Blake Baker’s defense this season, allowing just 16 receptions for 204 yards in 553 snaps this season, per Pro Football Focus. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder played cornerback the previous season, so his versatility and experience will likely make him a commodity in the portal.

Ryan came to LSU with a big reputation as a five-star prospect who checked in at No. 21 overall in the Rivals 100. He picked the Tigers over Alabama, Auburn, Baylor and Clemson, among others.
