LSU transfer wide receiver CJ Daniels has found his next college home. Daniels committed to Miami (FL.) on Wednesday.
Daniels has one year of eligibility left. He began his career at Liberty in 2020 and stayed there through the 2023 season, playing for head coaches Hugh Freeze and Jamey Chadwell. He then transferred to LSU and played under head coach Brian Kelly in 2024.
Daniels will now finish out his collegiate career in Miami under head coach Mario Cristobal, offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Shannon Dawson, wide receivers coach Kevin Beard and the Hurricanes.
In 2024, Daniels recorded 42 receptions for 480 yards (11.4 yards per catch), but did not score a touchdown.
According to Pro Football Focus, Daniels played 598 snaps for the Tigers in 2024. He recorded an offensive grade of 65.1.
In 53 career games played (29 starts) between Liberty and LSU, Daniels totaled 148 receptions for 2,439 yards (16.5 yards per catch) and 21 touchdowns. He also has recorded a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Daniels ranks as the No. 17 overall prospect in the transfer portal this cycle, according to Rivals. He was a two-star wide receiver prospect out of Parkview High School in Georgia in the class of 2020.
