Former Memphis and LSU offensive lineman Xavier Hill has committed to Colorado, he announced via social media on Saturday.
Hill played two seasons for head coach Ryan Silverfield and Memphis in 2023 and 2024. Prior to that, he spent three seasons with LSU and played under head coaches Ed Orgeron and Brian Kelly from 2020 through 2023.
Hill entered the transfer portal on April 8 as a graduate transfer and will have one year of eligibility remaining to spend with head coach Deion Sanders, offensive run game coordinator/offensive line coach Gunnar White and the rest of the Colorado staff.
The 6-foot-4, 318-pound Hill was a first-team preseason All-AAC selection by Phil Steele in 2024, and was also named to the Outland Trophy Preseason Watchlist.
He started all 13 games for the Tigers in 2024, and was Memphis' highest-graded offensive player last year (84.0), according to Pro Football Focus. He also had a pass-blocking grade of 86.4 and run-blocking grade of 81.6.
Hill played 961offensive snaps this past season, including 490 snaps at left guard, 464 snaps at right tackle and five snaps at right guard (he also played one snap as a tight end and one as a slot wide receiver).
Hill played in all 13 of Memphis' games in 2023, helping lead the Tigers to a 10-3 record. He earned first-team All-AAC honors by Phil Steele and second-team All-AAC accolades from the conference's coaches.
While at LSU, Hill appeared in six games, including two starts, in three seasons.
Hill was considered a 5.7-rated, high-three-star offensive guard prospect out of Olive Branch High School in Mississippi in the 2020 class.
He was ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the state of Mississippi and the No. 19 offensive guard in the 2020 cycle.
