Brockermeyer, a three-star prospect in the Rivals Portal rankings, began his collegiate career at Alabama and transferred after the 2023 season.

With the addition of Brockermeyer the Canes take a big step toward maintaining their high-octane offense from this season that led the ACC in scoring (43.9) and racked up 4,527 passing yards and 2,456 rushing yards.
