Michigan State redshirt junior defensive lineman Derrick Harmon had entered the NCAA transfer portal last December, but eventually withdrew.

Harmon entered the portal again Tuesday and will be one of the more popular targets. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder has started 15 of 28 games and has 71 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in his career.

The former Detroit (Mich.) Loyola High product started 10 of 12 games this past fall and had 40 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks, while playing 475 snaps.

Harmon was a Rivals.com three-star prospect in the class of 2021, and was the No. 32 overall player in Michigan. He picked the Spartans over offers from Ole Miss, Purdue, Central Michigan, and Ball State.

Michigan State also lost former Rivals.com four-star defensive end prospect Andrew DePaepe from Pleasant Valley (Iowa) High. He was ranked No. 182 nationally in the class of 2023 and No. 4 overall in Iowa.
