Freshman defensive lineman Keona Davis’ time at Nebraska proved to be short-lived.

Davis was a Rivals.com four-star prospect, who was ranked No. 14 overall in the state of Arizona and the No. 25 weakside defensive end nationally. He went by Keona Wilhite in high school and was previously committed to Washington from Oct. 23, 2023, to Jan. 14, 2024. Davis picked Nebraska over UCLA and Michigan State the second time around.

Davis recorded 60 tackles as a senior in high school, including 18.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He added four pass breakups and an interception that he returned for 74 yards.
