A day after taking a visit to Nebraska, former Cal receiver Nyziah Hunter committed to the Cornhuskers. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound redshirt freshman will have three years of eligibility remaining.
As a big and physical playmaker, Hunter could be the perfect replacement for top outgoing Bears receivers Jahmal Banks and Isaiah Neyor. He certainly could help improve on an aerial attack that produced 2,737 yards and 12 touchdowns this season.
Hunter proved that he’s plenty capable in his first year of action, posting 578 yards on 40 receptions and scoring five touchdowns.
Hunter was a three-star prosect in the 2023 class. He picked the Bears over Washington, Oregon State, and Boise State, among others.
