New Mexico transfer quarterback Devon Dampier has found his next college home. Dampier has committed to Utah.

He announced his intention to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 5. One day later on Dec. 6, Utah State announced that it had hired New Mexico head coach Bronco Mendenhall as its head coach.

Now Dampier will take his talents to Salt Lake City to play under head coach Kyle Whittingham, newly-hired offensive coordinator Jason Beck — who was also most recently with the Lobos — and the rest of the Utah staff.

Dampier will have two years of eligibility remaining, and he is yet to use a redshirt.
