Ohio State defensive end Javontae Jean-Baptiste officially entered the transfer portal on Monday, the news comes following the Buckeyes 42-41 loss to Georgia in the Peach Bowl over the weekend.

Jean-Baptiste has spent the past five seasons with Ohio State, appearing in 40 games.

Throughout Jean Baptiste's career, he recorded 51 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and eight sacks. The 2022 season was his best as a Buckeye, tallying 19 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks while appearing in all 13 games.

Coming out of high school, Jean-Baptiste was rated a 5.8, four-star prospect in the 2028 class, signing with Ohio State over the likes of Boston College, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Virginia Tech.

He will have one-year of eligibility remaining.
