David Stone entering the transfer portal on Friday night was a shock to the college football world. The former five-star high school recruit was expected to have a big sophomore campaign for Oklahoma after drawing rave reviews this offseason.
All of that almost went up in smoke. Instead of losing a key piece of their defensive line, Stone decided to withdraw from the transfer portal, returning to the Oklahoma program.

Stone had a solid start to his college career last fall. He played in every game of the 2024 season, registering seven quarterback pressures, six total tackles, two tackles for a loss, and one sack.
