Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel to enter transfer portal

Dillon Gabriel plans to spend his final year of eligibility at a new school. Monday, the Oklahoma quarterback announced he is entering the transfer portal. Gabriel will be joining his third team this offseason after transferring to Oklahoma from Central Florida ahead of the 2022 season.

Gabriel is coming off the best season of his career, completing 69.3% of his passes for 3,660 yards and 30 touchdowns with six interceptions. He also picked up 373 yards and 12 touchdowns with his legs.

Across five years, Gabriel has thrown for 14,895 yards, the eighth most in FBS history. He needs 4,353 yards to pass former Houston quarterback Keenum’s NCAA record of 19,217 career passing yards.
