Pittsburgh redshirt freshman defensive end Samuel Okunlola flashed potential, but will be spending his last three schools at a new college.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pounder from Thayer Academy in Brockton, Mass., had 18 tackles, six tackles for loss, five sacks, one fumble recovery and one forced fumble.
Okunlola was a four-star prospect in the class of 2022, and the No. 23 defensive end in the country and No. 2 player in Massachusetts by Rivals.com. He picked Pittsburgh over Virginia and Colorado among his 50-plus offers.
Okunlola’s younger brother, Samson, played tackle for Miami this past season as a true freshman.
