Hudson Card has found a new home.

The former Texas quarterback is on the move. Pete Thamel of ESPN was first to report that Card is transferring to play at Purdue under recently-hired head coach Ryan Walters.

Card entered the transfer portal earlier this month after signing with the Longhorn as a highly coveted recruit in the 2020 recruiting class. He leaves Texas after losing the starting quarterback battle to Quinn Ewers.

The former Texas quarterback threw for 1,523 yards and accounted for 12 touchdowns while in Austin. He was one of the top available signal callers in the portal, according to the Rivals Transfer Portal Rankings.

Card provides the Boilermakers with a potential replacement for NFL-bound Aidan O'Connell. His transfer also gives new Purdue offensive coordinator Graham Harrell with an athletic passer that has some intriguing upside behind center.

Hudson Card will arrive in West Lafayette with three more years of eligibility remaining.
