Senior quarterback Hank Bachmeier found his home Sunday.
Bachmeier played his first four years at Boise State and then his fifth year of college at Louisiana Tech. Now, the 6-foot-1, 221-pounder from Murrieta (Calif.) Valley High will play at Wake Forest.
Bachmeier went 182-of-269 passing for 2,058 yards and 10 touchdowns, plus five interception this past season for the 3-9 Bulldogs. He played in nine games.
Bachmeier threw for over 300 yards in three games, including 384 yards against Same Houston State on Nov. 11.
Bachmeier had a successful 2021 season at Boise State, throwing for 3,079 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He completed 62.8 percent of his passes on the 7-5 Broncos. He passed for 388 yards, four touchdowns and one interception in a 41-31 loss vs. Nevada on Oct. 2, 2021. Bachmeier played the first four games of the 2022 season, going 2-2, and then elected to redshirt.
The former Rivals.com four-star prospect was ranked No. 194 overall in the country in the class of 2019. He was the No. 6 pro style quarterback and No. 29 overall in California.
Bachmeier has gone 718-of-1,139 passing for 8,663 yards, 51 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. He has rushed 199 times for 55 yards and five scores.
