South Carolina wide receiver Antwane Wells officially announced his plans to enter the transfer portal Sunday night over social media. The senior will enter as a graduate transfer and will have two years of eligibility at his next school.

Wells was limited to just three games this season after suffering a foot injury in preseason. He recorded three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Last season, he earned All-SEC honors while leading the Gamecocks with 68 receptions for 928 yards and six touchdowns.

Wells transferred to South Carolina from James Madison, where he recorded a combined 116 receptions for 1,853 yards and 21 touchdowns over the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound playmaker will now be one of the most coveted players in the portal.
