TCU adds another weapon in former LSU WR Jack Bech

Sonny Dykes and TCU used the transfer portal last offseason to address key needs on the roster. That recipe resulted in a College Football Playoff berth, and the Horned Frogs have continued to attack the portal aggressively this time around, too.

The Horned Frogs added a transfer commitment from former LSU wide receiver Jack Bech. Bech announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal earlier this month before choosing TCU as his destination on Sunday evening.

Bech, a former four-star recruit, is trading one purple for another.

Bech's commitment comes one day after the Horned Frogs landed former Alabama wide receiver JoJo Earle through the portal. TCU is expected to lose star wideout Quentin Johnston to the NFL Draft, so adding Bech and Earle to a position that features former four-star Jordan Hudson is a wise move.

The newest Horned Frogs pass catcher broke out for the Tigers during his true freshman season in Baton Rouge. He grabbed 43 passes for 489 yards and three touchdowns during the 2021 campaign. His numbers dropped off in the first season of the Brian Kelly era, and now Bech finds himself a new home.

TCU is gearing up to make noise in the College Football Playoffs. In the meantime, Dykes and company continue to make waves in the portal.
