James Brockermeyer will one of the top centers in the transfer portal once he’s officially in.

The Texas Christian center originally started his career at Alabama for three years, with his twin brother Tommy. The twins then joined TCU where their older brother Luke is a defensive graduate assistant coach. Tommy Brockermeyer retired from football due to injuries.

Their father, Blake Brockermeyer, was a first-round NFL Draft pick to the Carolina Panthers out of Texas in 1995. Older brother Luke Brockermeyer also played linebacker for the Longhorns.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound James Brockermeyer led TCU offensive lineman with a 66.3 grade from Pro Football Focus, including 80.2 on pass blocking. He allowed one sack in 500 pass blocking, and he played 812 snaps in 12 games.

Brockermeyer was a Rivals.com four-star prospect and ranked No. 38 overall in Texas and No. 4 at center in the class of 2021, coming out of Forth Worth (Texas) All Saints Episcopal.
