Former Tennessee linebacker Aaron Willis announced his transfer decision on Wednesday – he’s headed to Houston. A former four-star high school prospect, Willis appeared in eight games during his true freshman season last year recording one tackle.
Willis has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder committed to Jeremy Pruitt’s staff in May of 2020, but by the time Willis enrolled at Tennessee in January of 2021, Josh Heupel was hired to replace Pruitt.
Houston will compete in the American Athletic Conference this season then begin play in the Big XII in 2023.
