Florida defensive end T.J. Searcy will be remaining in the SEC.
The 6-foot-5, 262-pounder is transferring to Texas A&M, where he’ll try and build off a his sophomore year. Searcy had 34 tackles, three sacks, four tackles for loss and two forced fumbles for the Gators. He had his three sacks over the last six games.
Searcy had four tackles against Texas A&M in a 33-20 loss on Sept. 14. He followed up with a season-high seven tackles in a 45-28 win at Mississippi State the next week.
Searcy had 26 tackles, one forced fumble and half a sack his freshman year 2023.
Rivals.com had Searcy as a four-star prospect, No. 25 overall in Georgia and No. 21 at strongside defensive end nationally in the class of 2023 out of Thomaston (Ga.) Upson Lee High.
Searcy picked Florida over the likes of Clemson, Tennessee and South Carolina. He had 39 tackles and six quarterback hurries his senior year.

The winter college football transfer portal window is scheduled to open on December 9th, 2024 for 20 days. Additionally, players have a 30-day window to transfer when their head coach leaves. There is also a five-day window for players to transfer after their team has finished postseason play. A 10-day transfer window will open on April 16th as well.
